The Chairman, Barry Willmore, The Committee and TRIC's Director, George Stone, hope
that you have all had a good millennium year. Once again we are able to report record
numbers at our Christmas Lunch. Our President, Roy Hudd and his wife Debbie, set the
scene for a most enjoyable day. We all enjoyed the carols and the Christmas tree,
crackers, hats and, of course, the Christmas pudding and mince pies. A lovely
traditional Christmas celebration 2000.
Tom O'Connor, our President elect, entertained us and we were delighted to meet his
wife Pat. Also Roy's guests Adam Faith and Rick Wakeman, together with our other
special guests Kenneth Wolstenholme DFC and Bar and Ron Moody.
No TRIC event would be complete without the ubiquitous raffle. The prizes donated for
this year were exceptional and we sincerely thank the corporate members who so
generously contribute such magnificent prizes. The TRIC raffle has got to be the
best in London, thanks again to the corporate members who enable this.
We would also like to extend our thanks to our Chairman Barry Willmore for his hard
work this year. Under Barry's stewardship, TRIC has had record numbers at all events
during the year 2000 which means the members have enjoyed super events, but best of all,
that we shall be able to donate a substantial sum to Vision Aid, the children's charity
which was the choice of Roy Hudd.
We must thank our hardworking committee and point out that the members are truly
representative of our industry. This was reflected at the Christmas Lunch where many
corporate members used the prestigious occasion and venue for corporate entertaining.
Many guests were friends and family all enjoying the lovely 'Christmassy' atmosphere -
for so many the beginning of the Christmas celebrations.
As always the staff at the Grosvenor House did us proud. The service was excellent,
the food delicious and the presentation and organisation faultless. A special mention
to Claire, Richard, Marco, Dave, Ben and the chefs for their excellent work. A big
thank you to you all.
